Message definition (EOT Lantern)

The end-of-train (EOT) lantern is a handheld {{pll|Items Overview|item}}, serving as a weak omnidirectional red {{pll|Time of Day|light source}}. A {{pll|Lighter|lighter}} is needed to turn it on. There is a knob on the side that controls the dipping of the wick in oil. This drives the light intensity and is also used to put the lantern out.

Die Zugschlusslaterne ist eine tragbare, schwache Lichtquelle, die rotes Licht breit abstrahlt. Sie muss mit einem Feuerzeug angezündet werden. An der Seite befindet sich ein Knopf, der die Eintauchtiefe des Dochts in das Öl regelt. Dies steuert die Helligkeit und wird auch zum Löschen der Laterne verwendet.
