Message definition (EOT Lantern)

The end-of-train (EOT) lantern is a handheld {{pll|Items Overview|item}}, serving as a weak omnidirectional red {{pll|Time of Day|light source}}. A {{pll|Lighter|lighter}} is needed to turn it on. There is a knob on the side that controls the dipping of the wick in oil. This drives the light intensity and is also used to put the lantern out.

La lanterne de queue de train est une source faible de lumière rouge, omnidirectionnelle et portative. Elle nécessite un briquet pour être allumée. Il y a un bouton sur le côté qui contrôle le trempage de la mèche dans l'huile. Cela varie l'intensité lumineuse et est également utilisé pour éteindre la lanterne.
