Message definition (EOT Lantern)

The end-of-train (EOT) lantern is a handheld {{pll|Items Overview|item}}, serving as a weak omnidirectional red {{pll|Time of Day|light source}}. A {{pll|Lighter|lighter}} is needed to turn it on. There is a knob on the side that controls the dipping of the wick in oil. This drives the light intensity and is also used to put the lantern out.

Het sluitsein lantaarn is een zwakke, draagbare omnidirectionele rode lichtbron. Er is een aansteker nodig om het aan te zetten. Er is een knop aan de zijkant die het onderdompelen van de lont in olie regelt. Dit beïnvloedt de lichtintensiteit en wordt ook gebruikt om de lantaarn te doven.
