Many vehicles only have one set of controls, facing a particular direction. To drive these vehicles in the opposite direction comfortably, it helps to use the {{pll|Universal Control Stand|universal control stand}}, or a {{pll|Remote Controller|locomotive remote controller}}, if supported.
