Message definition (Brake Shoes)

To avoid overheating the shoes, alternative methods of reducing speed may be used, such as {{pll|Dynamic Brake|dynamic brakes}}. By braking dynamically, vehicles offload some of the work from their brake shoes to their {{pll|Powertrains Overview|powertrains}}. Another way of reducing the use of brake shoes is to {{pll|Driving Efficiency|use any available uphill grades as a way to slow down}}.

為避免軔塊過熱，可以多加利用其他制軔手段減速，如使用動力軔機。透過動力軔機以傳動系統進行制軔，能夠將部分制軔負載自軔塊轉移到車輛的傳動系統。另一個減少軔塊使用的方法則是運用上坡路段進行減速。
