Message definition (Sander)

To help improve {{pll|Traction Overview|traction}}, most {{pll|Rail Vehicle Types|motorized vehicles}} come equipped with sanders. Sander is an accessory operated by a control device in the {{pll|Rail Vehicle Types|cab}}, usually in the form of a button or a lever, that deploys sand, carried onboard the vehicle, to the driving wheels.

Zur Verbesserung der Traktion und um das Schleudern und Gleiten der Räder zu verhindern, sind die meisten Triebfahrzeuge mit Sandstreuern ausgerüstet. Durch Betätigen einer Bedienungseinrichtung, meistens ein Knopf oder ein Hebel, kann der Lokführer Sand vor die Räder streuen.
