Message definition (Injector)

Injector is a device found on {{pll|Steam Overview|steam engines}}, used to feed water to the {{pll|Boiler|boiler}} from {{pll|Water Storage|storage}}, in order to maintain nominal {{pll|Water Level|water level}}. It is usually operated by a valve, and can be opened or closed.

För att överföra vatten från tanken till pannan använder ånglok en anordning som kallas injektor. Den manövreras vanligtvis av ett stort ventilhandtag som vrids för att öppnas eller stängas. Injektorn använder ångtryck för att injicera vatten från ett kärl till det andra.
