Message definition (Injector)

Stored water is cold. As it is injected into the boiler, it may drop temperature of the water already there, causing steam to condense back into water. This can result in significant pressure drop, so water injection is recommended to be done at small amounts and {{pll|Driving Efficiency|well timed}}.

Eftersom kallt vatten tillsätts från en tender, kommer det att påverka temperaturen på vattnet som redan finns i pannan. Därför rekommenderas det att tillsätta vatten långsamt och kontinuerligt, proportionellt mot förbrukning och behov, för att inte störa ångbildningen för mycket. Det finns inget sätt att övervaka vattentemperaturen, annat än indirekt genom att titta på hastigheten som tryckmätarnålen rör sig.
