Message definition (Wipers)

Windshield wipers are devices designed to wipe windshields from accumulating material that hinders visibility, such as {{pll|Weather|rain droplets}}. On most {{pll|Rail Vehicle Types|vehicles}} they are powered by {{pll|Electricity|electricity}}, and may have adjustable speed settings. On {{pll|Steam Overview|steam engines}} they are usually {{pll|Compressor|pneumatic}}, and sometimes even operated by hand.

Scheibenwischer sind Vorrichtungen, die zum Befreien der Windschutzscheiben von sich ansammelnden, sichtbehinderndem Material, wie z. B. Regentropfen, dienen. Bei den meisten Fahrzeugen werden sie elektrisch betrieben und können einstellbare Geschwindigkeitsstufen haben. Bei Dampflokomotiven werden sie normalerweise pneumatisch betrieben oder manchmal sogar von Hand.
