Message definition (Proximity Sensor ) The proximity reader is an interface device designed to be installed in a {{pll|Rail Vehicle Types|cab}} of a {{pll|Rail Vehicle Types|motorized rail vehicle}}. It has a knob used to select the frequency channel. It features a display and a beeper that indicate proximity of obstacles to a sensor. There can be many sensors in the world, but the hub only focuses on specific ones, determined by a mode selection knob - automatic and channel.
The interface unit, featuring settings and information, is meant to be installed in a cab of the main motorized vehicle. The sensor unit is meant to be placed on a coupler at either end of the train.
