Utility vehicles are work trains used to transport train parts. There are two types of them:
Utility Short Flatcar is a small car that is acquired together with the museum when buying the Museum license.
Utility Rail Vehicle, also known as DM1U-150, is a modified, quick, diesel-mechanical railcar. To become available, this vehicle needs to be unlocked from a special garage, with a key that can be bought in one of the shops.
Once unlocked, the utility vehicles can be requested with the comms radio, for a fee, depending on the session difficulty settings. The Utility Rail Vehicle can receive damage, consumes fuel and needs to be manually serviced, while the Utility Short Flatcar cannot be damaged and it doesn't have service costs.
