The comms radio Rerail mode is used to rerail vehicles that fell off the tracks. You can aim at a derailed vehicle you wish to rerail and shoot to select it. Then aim at a spot on the tracks where you wish to rerail the vehicle to and shoot again. The further the destination is from the vehicle, the more the rerailment will cost, with the maximum depending on the session difficulty settings.
When rerailed, the vehicle is turned off, with its controls reset to the default state and the handbrake applied.
