展示機是由製造商提供給鐵路公司，在正式下單、大量生產前，用於演示及評估用途的車輛。
在 Derail Valley 中，DVRT 擁有的每種機車都有著一輛漆有特殊塗裝，有著歷史意義的獨特車輛。
在過去的某個時候，展示機全數歸Derail Valley 鐵道博物館所有。但自從博物館熄燈後，這些機車也不再受到重視。
要使用展示機，您得先找到並修復它們。它們各分散至世界多處，位置則隨全新遊戲隨機移動，並有高機率被藏進車站內的某處。

To be able to access a demonstrator, you need the Museum license, as well as the respective license for that type of vehicle. For each of the demonstrators there is a dedicated track in the museum building. Next to the track there is a panel with exact steps on how to restore it.
The process involves towing the vehicle to the museum, supplying it with missing parts using utility vehicles, servicing it, and finally giving it a paint job.
Only once it has been fully repaired, a restored demonstrator gains features of a work train.
