HAZMAT cargo is cargo that consists of hazardous materials. In case of an accident, this cargo can induce significant damage, especially to the environment.
In order to take delivery orders involving HAZMAT cargo, you need an appropriate license. There are three tiers of HAZMAT licenses, each granting access to increasingly more dangerous cargo:
- Tier 1 - Flammable, asphyxiating and oxidizing materials
- Tier 2 - Explosive, corrosive and toxic materials
- Tier 3 - Biohazardous and radioactive materials
HAZMAT licenses need to be acquired successively, and require you to already own the Fragile license, which allows transporting cargo that is highly sensitive to collisions.
